Strategic Goals by Research Task Phase
- The step-by-step development plan for basic research topics consists of three phases: (1) focused promotion of basic research on ecosystem material cycles, (2) promotion of basic research advancement on ecosystem material cycles, and (3) maximizing the value of basic research on ecosystem material cycles.
- Strategically, three key research areas are intensively promoted: basic mechanisms/theories of ecosystems, observation-oriented field research, and integrated ecosystem evaluation/model. The research topic is the core value of Korea University: SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely).
- Achieving the goal of the Institute of Basic Science for Ecosystem Material Cycle by gradually achieving the goal of the basic research area.
- In the last year of the 3rd phase, the discovery of research topics becomes "Best" and the research core value becomes "Excellent".
